Aura Star Heights brings a wealth of dedication, resilience, and passion to the world of hunter/jumper training. With instruction and mentorship from some of the sport’s most respected horsemen—Bernie Traurig, Tom Brennan, George Morris, and Long Island Sportsmanship Award winner Chuck Rocco—Aura has built her program on a foundation of classical European techniques, patience, and deep horsemanship.

 

Raised without financial privilege, Aura honed her skills on the overlooked and underestimated horses—an experience that shaped her core belief in second chances and the power of gentle, individualized training. As head trainer and rider for one of Long Island’s largest riding academies, she developed a wide range of horses and riders, from tiny ponies and first-time short stirrup riders to seasoned warmbloods and Big Eq competitors.

 

Now based in Ocala, Florida, Aura continues her mission through A.Star Equestrian LLC—a boutique program where every horse receives tailored care and thoughtful development. Her goal is simple: to help each horse and rider reach their full potential with skill, compassion, and heart.
